1.

How much deposit is required?

Half down at the start of the job.  Final payment is due upon delivery of the doors & drawers

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash or check


3.

Is Artisan a green company?

Yes.  We do not fill landfills with reusable wood.  We use only water based products.  Also, there is no toxic stripping and we use low VOC materials.


4.

Do you offer new hardware?

We do not carry hardware but, would be happy to install it, at an additional cost, if you purchase it.  We can also move them to accommodate a different location.


5.

When do I need my new hardware?

One day before door delivery.


6.

What happens if I plan on getting new countertops?

We can refinish cabinets before or after countertop installation but, the preferred time is after countertop installation.


7.

I want to add additonal cabinets, can you match the old cabinets to the new ones?

There is no way to match an old finish to a new finish.  All the cabinets would have to be refinished to get the perfect match.

How does the finish wear?

Two coats of cleanable, durable clear protects the new finish for years to come.

How do I clean the new finish?

You may dust them at any time but, you should wait 60 days before cleaning them using mild soap and water.

Will I have to empty my cabinets?

Generally speaking no but, you may want to remove breakable items.

Do you move refrigerator, stoves or microwaves?

We will not move refrigerators, stoves or microwaves.  If you choose to move them yourself, we will finish behind them, if not, we will ot finish behind them.


12.

What if my cabinets have heavy graining?

We offer finishes that will hide or accentuate the graining. The graining will not completely disappear.


13.

What if my cabinet doors or drawers need repairs?

We handle most small repairs but a consultant will advise you.

If my cabinets are veneered, can you still refinish them?

We have many finishes to accommodate veneers.

15.

What takes place once I've decided to move forward?

A sample of color or stain will be applied on one of your doors.  You must allow 1 1/2 weeks for each sample.  Once the color selection is approved by you, we will schedule a time to pick up your doors and drawers. The process should take approximately 5-7 weeks from the time of door removal.  If changes are made by you in the middle of the process, for example, you decide you want to change the color,  the process will take longer.  Once the doors and drawers are complete, we will schedule a time to come out and finish the boxes of the cabinets.  Depending on the size of the project, we will have to have access to the home for a week to a week and half, not neccessarily in a row.  Now that your boxes are complete, we can schedule a time to install your finished doors and drawers.  Final payment is required at time of door delivery.  You must be present for final payment or make arrangements beforehand if you can not be present.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, we warranty all work for 1 year.

What if my cabinets get damaged, ie., pets or kids?

We keep on file customer colors and finishes in the event of non-warranty items such as damage or abuse.  Repairs can be done for a nominal fee.

Do I  have to be home during the work on my cabinet boxes?

The easiest way for us to work in your home is by setting up a temporary garage code. We need access to the house and times may vary. We can also provide a lock box.  We are in 4-6 homes per day, of those usually 2 homes, people are present.  We are a 30 yr. company with a A+ rating from the BBB.  Our average employee has been with us 16 yrs.  They are background checked and drug tested.  We have never had any incidences.
